Scale House Personnel

Laborer Position at Fulton Street Transfer Station

We seek a dedicated individual who will work in the Scale House as a Laborer at our busy, Fulton Street Transfer Station facility in Paterson, NJ.

Maintain the cleanliness of the facility grounds using hand tools, pressure washers, and fire hose

Assist Supervisor and Equipment Operators on minor maintenance tasks

Maintain a safe working environment, including wearing PPE, stopping unsafe acts and complete all H&S training

Keep immediate supervisor informed of all problems or matters requiring attention

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent coupled with one to three years of physical outdoor work experience

Candidate must be flexible to work different shifts, including Saturdays/Holidays and Sundays if necessary

Must possess skills in working within deadlines to complete projects

Ability to multi-task and focus on day-to-day details

Skills in Microsoft programs, completing forms and training assignments on computer

Ability to operate in an outdoor environment around heavy equipment

Ability to stand, walk, and perform light physical activity throughout an 8-12 hour shift

Ability to climb in and out of heavy equipment

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Pay Transparency

This role is covered under a Labor Union / Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). The pay rate and benefits will be according to CBA for the role.
