Residential Supervisor – NIPD-NJ

NIPD-NJ is actively seeking a Full Time Residential Supervisor. The ideal candidate will be an effective leader as well as a team player with high levels of integrity, flexibility and dedication. You will work in a residential group home teaching life skills, providing individual and group counseling, recreation, and promoting community integration. Our program supports an aging population with intellectual or developmental disabilities, including individuals with functional impairment and dementia, those who use oxygen tanks, and those who frequently require hospital visits.

• Ensure the program provides the appropriate level of supervision for the people we support at all times.
• Oversee the financial systems of both the program and the people we support and ensure fiscal responsibility and integrity.
• Interview, hire, train, and supervise all levels of staff including DSPs and Assistant Supervisors.
• Work with the program nurse to ensure proper medical care and follow up, including all medical appointments and medication administration for the people we support.
• Ensure a cooperative environment with family members as well as outside providers.

• A High School Diploma or GED is required; BA/BS degree preferred.
• A valid Driver's License with no more than 5 points is required; NJS preferred.
• 1–3 years experience supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities is required, 3–5 years preferred.
• 1–3 years experience supervising various levels of staff is required, 3–5 years preferred.
• Ability to participate in a minimum of 2 days of NJS Mandated DDD initial trainings during normal business hours upon hire.
• Tuberculosis test required for most positions.
• New Jersey State drug test screening is mandatory.

Monday – Friday 10:00 am – 6:00 pm with flexibility required. On‑call duties.
