Operations Supervisor – Cincinnati Public Schools

Help oversee day-to-day operations of buses, manage maintenance and fueling schedules, and maintain safe, efficient transportation of students.

Monday through Friday, AM or PM routes (8 hours between 4:30am‑7:00pm)

$50,/yr, depending upon experience.

• Demonstrates and promotes a safe work environment at all times
• Ensures drivers have the daily paperwork necessary to complete their routes; verifies charter paperwork received by the Location Manager for processing
• Coordinates field trips by assigning personnel and vehicles
• Under the direction of the Location Manager, assists drivers with establishing route descriptions
• Ensures drivers follow through with scheduled fueling and mechanical work
• Observes safety practices of personnel and takes corrective action when necessary
• Assists Location Manager during training sessions and kickoff meetings
• Attends disciplinary meetings with the Location Manager
• May interact with school officials on routine matters at smaller bus locations
• May drive bus on occasion if necessary
• Assists dispatcher when necessary
• May manage small locations under the overall direction of the Location Manager
• Ensures routes meet state, local, and vendor requirements
• Reviews timesheets prior to submission to payroll

• 3‑5 years experience in transportation industry
• Good supervisory skills
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Computer skills
• Subject to DOT drug testing and physical; DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including marijuana, for any reason
