Senior Leader, Distribution Center

Summary

The Senior Leader, Distribution Center will develop and implement receiving, transportation, and fulfillment operations to ensure accurate and timely processing of shipments while minimizing cost. This role directs programs to maintain safety, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency for the Distribution Center and partners with leadership on budgeting, staffing and process improvements.

• Plan and schedule all distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, returns handling, maintenance and administrative activities
• Ensure accurate inventory control across product lines and audit operations to meet service standards
• Prepare and manage Distribution Center budgeting and long-range labor planning based on sales forecasts
• Develop procedures for efficient operation, maintenance, cleaning and repair of warehouse equipment
• Assure compliance with OSHA and MSDS regulations and promote safety of personnel, equipment and property

• 5+ years of experience at the department leadership level
• WMS experience with KCS and/or PKMS preferred; knowledge of e-commerce and fulfillment operations
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel; strong analytical and process improvement skills
• Exceptional leadership, mentoring and coaching skills with ability to build and foster teams
• Previous accountability for an entire function within a distribution facility and willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
