Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Distribution Center Trainer to join our PLATT team in Patterson, CA!
SummaryThe Distribution Center Trainer is responsible for training and managing the progress of training for any employee in need of training. Reports on employee’s progress to the relevant Distribution Center Supervisor. Is actively involved in the Safety Committee and may perform quality‑control tasks throughout the Distribution Center.
What You’ll Do- Must behave consistently with the Company’s Core Competencies, Policies, Procedures and focus on safety
- Train employees on various topics including but not limited to: material handling equipment, shift specifics, Distribution Center layout and processes, Bluevolt, Warehouse Management Software, and Voice directed picking. As well as coach employees through known required training
- Maintains and assists in development of training methods/procedures
- Creates or edits current training material as needed
- Trains new Distribution Center employees, cross‑training employees in new zones/departments, maintain/update training forms as needed, records trains, coordinates, or submits forms for each trained employee
- Perform variance research, audit/research, pull and/or put‑away from new or recent trained employees
- Follow up with previous trainees to determine progress
- Research alternatives to current methods and presents them to management for changes
- Actively involved in training processes: professional, product, etc.
- Able to regularly perform all Distribution Center jobs
- Utilize RF (Radio Frequency) hand‑held devices and portable printer during the picking and controlling process
- Perform daily machine check list and operate any material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
- Report any damage to electronic hardware, material handling equipment and the Distribution Center immediately to a Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need
- 1+ years of experience in inventory control or high‑volume Warehouse or Distribution Center
- Data‑entry experience preferred
- Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred
- High School or GED
- Required
- Self‑motivated and time management skills are highly valued
- Ability to perform all Distribution Center jobs
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math skills to work environment
