Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager is responsible for cultivating and growing a portfolio of business clients within our target segment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to growth of the segment by executing the segment strategy and achieving targeted growth goals for core KPIs (new business development, deposit growth, loan production, and treasury management fee income).
  • Develop and maintain an extensive network of business contacts, community leaders, and referral sources to generate new business and revenue.
  • Effectively manage and grow the pipeline to meet production expectations.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders, Private Bankers, and Banking Centers to deliver an excellent client experience and drive value.
  • Encourage peers to listen to client needs and identify banking growth opportunities.
  • Develop and present credit proposals/memos for consideration and negotiate quality loans in accordance with policy and guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures, upholding operational integrity.
Skills & Experience
  • At least 7 years of relationship management/sales experience, including 5+ years managing business relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of credit, financial analysis techniques, and lending policy, with the ability to package and present credit deals.
  • Proven track record in business development, commercial loan origination, and relationship management.
  • Preferred advanced degrees (Associate, Bachelor’s, or Master’s); a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong understanding of business banking, branch profitability, commercial lending, treasury management products, and operational areas (audit, compliance, fraud, loss, risk).
  • Exceptional business development skills and an entrepreneurial orientation.
