Bilingual Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a bilingual customer service representative with strong attention to detail to support a community action program in Rhode Island. This long-term contract opportunity centers on assisting individuals and families with clear communication, administrative support, and service coordination in a small office environment connected to food donation efforts funded through federal programs. The ideal candidate is comfortable working directly with the public, handling documentation accurately, and providing support in both English and Spanish.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome community members, respond to inquiries, and provide helpful assistance in English and Spanish across phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Explain program services, eligibility details, and next steps so clients can access food support and related community resources with confidence.
• Translate verbal and written information between English and Spanish to ensure clear and respectful communication.
• Maintain organized records, enter information accurately, and prepare routine documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Coordinate daily office activities, schedule appointments as needed, and support staff with general administrative tasks.
• Assist with client intake and document collection while protecting sensitive information and following program guidelines.
• Work closely with team members in a small office setting to keep service delivery efficient and responsive to community needs.
