Position Overview

The Interior Designer is an entry level role that will work with Senior team members to help facilitate the design concepts and direction of the overall projects. In this role, the interior designer is responsible for preparing client documents, researching various design products, and generating client presentations to produce final project deliverables.

Core Responsibilities
  • Helps facilitate interior design as conceptualized.
  • Works with the Senior Designer to facilitate design concepts and direction.
  • Creates client presentation packages on assigned projects.
  • Facilitate the design direction within the project budget
  • Coordinates with vendors on product selections, orders product samples, and receives vendor quotes.
  • Works with Senior Designer to develop FF&A cost estimates.
  • Coordinates design elements in the contract documents and interior specifications
  • Tags and notes plans, elevations, and details in CAD.
  • Specifies interior finishes, FF&A and lighting for projects.
  • Other duties as assigned for the overall success of the team.
Required Skills & Abilities
  • Strong verbal, coordination, and graphic communication skills.
  • Ability to create a collaborative team project approach.
  • Ability to gather and analyze information and develop solutions.
  • Ability to read architectural and interior design drawings.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 2022, Revit, Microsoft Office, Blue Beam, Sketch Up, and PDF editor.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate as part of a team.
Education & Experience
  • Associate degree or certificate in Interior Design from an accredited program, or equal professional work experience.
  • A minimum of two years of Hospitality experience required.
  • Architectural & planning industry experience (plus).
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment, drawings, and other materials.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Occasional travel may be required (approximately 5 to 10%)
