A travel opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support students in a school setting in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. This position involves providing clear, effective communication access for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students, enabling full participation in their educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret conversations and classroom instruction between American Sign Language (ASL) and English to facilitate communication.
  • Support students during academic lessons, social interactions, and extracurricular activities.
  • Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to ensure that communication needs are met.
  • Adapt interpreting strategies to various settings within the school.

Qualifications and

Experience:
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language, with certification preferred.
  • Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably K-12.
  • Ability to travel to different school locations as assignments require.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
