A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support a 1:1 preschool student with autism and communication needs in an integrated special education classroom. This role is based in East Greenwich, RI, within a supportive district setting focused on early childhood development. The student requires specialized attention due to a short attention span and high energy levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver individualized behavior interventions and support to a preschool student on the autism spectrum.
  • Collaborate closely with a special education teacher and two paraprofessionals in a classroom of eight children.
  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques consistent with RBT standards.
  • Monitor and document student progress and communicate effectively with the educational team.
  • Address the student's communication needs through targeted strategies and behavioral supports.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in good standing.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged children, particularly those with autism and communication challenges.
  • Ability to engage a student with a short attention span and high energy level in classroom activities.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with educators and support staff.
Location &

Schedule:
  • East Greenwich, RI.
  • Full-time hours preferred: 9:15 AM to 3:30 PM.
  • Part-time option available: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
