Shape the Future of Medical Education at Med Prep RI (Volunteer) in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

Medical Preparatory Academy of Rhode Island (Med Prep RI) is a tuition‑free public charter launching in Pawtucket RI in . It will prepare grades 6-12 students from Providence, Pawtucket, and Central Falls for top universities and medical careers, tackling disparities via our H.E.A.L.S. model (High expectations, Equity, Actual exposure, Leadership, Student empowerment). It is endorsed by the Rhode Island Medical Society Foundation.

With a strong dedicated core (medical expertise covered), we are seeking 4-6 volunteer board members (4-6 hrs / month, monthly meetings) with a minimum of 5 years in Rhode Island education or charter experience.

• Finance:
  Budgeting and grants for $2.77 million startup.
• Marketing:
  Enrollment and outreach to diverse families.
• Curriculum: STEM/medical design aligned to RIDE.
• Operations:
  Facilities and compliance for the Power Road campus.
• Other:
  Legal, community, and family voice.
• Diverse voices from families and educators are welcome.
