Special Education Teacher

The Pawtucket School Department is seeking a special education educator to support mild/moderate students. Key duties include providing specialized instruction for students with disabilities, maintaining professional conduct, ongoing documentation of student progress, and participation in developing schedules for student services. The role involves developing and leading IEPs, attending planning meetings, and collaborating with school teams to advocate for students. The position requires knowledge of Common Core Standards, Rhode Island laws, and effective instructional practices, along with skills in public speaking, research, and leadership.

A valid driver's license and RI teaching certificates in Special Education are required. Desirable qualifications include experience with urban students, middle school students, and those with Autism and behavioral challenges.
