The Pawtucket School Department is seeking a Secondary English Language Arts/MLL teacher. Under the direction of the school administrator, the classroom teacher will implement the educational curriculum. Exemplary duties/responsibilities include planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students, establishing clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and communicating these objectives to students and parents, monitoring and evaluating student outcomes, developing, selecting, and modifying instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students, maintaining appropriate records and following required procedures and practices, supervising students in a variety of school related settings, actively participating in advisory program and monitoring and supporting students in advisory class, establishing relationships with families to communicate student progress, and working effectively with administrators, colleagues, central office, school based staff, students, parents and the community.

Licensure/Certificate Requirements:
Valid RI Teaching License in Secondary English Language Arts OR Secondary English AND All Grades MLL Certification. A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university. Desirable

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years teaching experience. Compensation/Hours/Benefits:
Full PSD benefits package; 184 day contract. Salary range is dependent on step level and degree attainment level. Position Type:
