The Pawtucket School Department is seeking a Kindergarten/MLL Teacher. Under the direction of the school administrator, the classroom teacher will implement the educational curriculum.

• Plan and provide appropriate learning experiences for students.
• Provide an atmosphere and environment conducive to intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development to ensure Success for Every Student.
• Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicate these objectives to students and parents.
• Prepare for assigned classes and provide written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate supervisor.
• Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
• Develop, select, and modify instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain appropriate records and follow required procedures and practices.
• Monitor appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and seminars to convey or gather information required to perform functions.
• Prepare a wide variety of written materials to document activities, provide written reference, and convey information.
• Communicate and interact with students, staff, parents, and community.
• Supervise students in various school-related settings.

• Valid RI Early Childhood Education Teacher, Grades PK-2 or Elementary Grades K-6 AND All Grades English to Speakers of Other Languages Teacher, Grades PK-12.
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Minimum three years teaching experience.

• Full PSD benefits package; 184-day contract.
