2026June‑December Internship/Co‑op
The Nerf and Play‑Doh teams are hiring a Project Engineering Co‑op. You will learn how a toy or game is developed from initial concepting through the manufacturing and sampling review process. While supporting the team and leading Project Engineering work there are also opportunities to take on independent project or product design responsibility. We also offer a unique opportunity to our students to participate in Hasbro’s Co‑op EPIC group project and work in teams to bring a new idea for a Hasbro product to concept stage.
This includes presenting the idea to business partners at various checkpoints in the process and prototyping the concept for presentation. We are looking for a Mechanical or Industrial Engineers for this Project Engineer Co‑op to work with our product development teams on both the Nerf and Play‑Doh brands.

WhatYou Will Do
- Work with Development teams to ensure quality, cost and schedule adherence.
- Assist Engineers during concept development, prototyping, product testing, and manufacturing debug.
- Ideate, test and evaluate new compounds, games, blasters, etc.
- Provide technical advice and feasibility assessment for new product concepts.
- Connect with cross functional teams (Marketing, Design, Project Management, Packaging, Quality, Legal, and Hasbro Far East Engineers) on product content issues throughout the entire development process.
- Create product specification packages (using Excel, Word and our web‑based product development system) to define product content and functionality, including cost and delivery targets.
- Participate in cost review and value engineering efforts to meet business objectives.
- Part and mechanism creation with Solid Works may be available for candidates with knowledge of this CAD software (depending on business need).
- Completion of at least one year of study towards a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar field.
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- Strong time/project management skills & the desire to build/expand proficiency in this area.
- Intermediate‑level skills in MS Excel, Word & Outlook & web‑based applications.
- Previous project work or co‑op experience in manufacturing, product design engineering, mechanism design, compound development.
- Passion for collaboration, play and consumer product development.
- Experience with CAD software (Hasbro uses Solidworks).

Rates vary based on year in school, degree program, and office location; final rates communicated during offer process. - Location:
Internship locations vary by role and team. This role is a Hybrid role, with 3 days a week expected in Pawtucket RI. Hasbro will be moving to Boston in late 2026.
