Immediate need for a talented Project Engineer, Mid Level
. This 06-month contract opportunity offers long-term potential and is located in Pawtucket, RI (hybrid).
Job : 26-12759
Pay Range: $43 - $44 per hour.
Benefits: health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
- Support engineering projects across product development lifecycle (concept, design, validation, production).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Packaging, Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing.
- Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure on-time execution.
- Assist in technical documentation, specifications, and BOM management.
- Review engineering drawings, prototypes, and test results.
- Support risk assessments, DFMEA/PFMEA, and validation testing.
- Monitor cost targets and assist in cost-reduction initiatives.
- Participate in supplier communications and factory follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Key skills: CAD software (Solid Works, Creo), project coordination/project management, background in consumer products, toys, packaging, or manufacturing industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant engineering or project experience (internships/co-ops considered).
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with PLM systems a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in project management in consumer products, toys, packaging, or manufacturing.
- Familiarity with CAD software (Solid Works, Creo, etc.).
- Understanding of product testing and validation processes.
- Exposure to overseas manufacturing environments.
