Ideal Candidate
:
- Five to fifteen years of civil/structural concrete design experience
- Experience designing and drafting civil and structural concrete systems in a heavy industrial environment
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Proficient with the latest version of AutoCAD Software
- Proficient with the latest version of Revit 3D Software
- Experience with the latest version of AutoCAD Plant 3D is a PLUS
Location
:
This position is available on a remote basis, with some travel to sites.
Compensation
: $110,000 - $130,000/yr
Responsibilities
:
- Prepare design drawings to facilitate timely and cost-effective construction of civil/structural concrete systems
- Collaborate with project civil/structural engineers throughout the design process
- Review civil/structural concrete drawings for errors and omissions
- Review project contract documents throughout the project to ensure compliance
- Review vendor drawings for errors and omissions and to ensure contract compliance
- Assist in preparing the drawing list, estimating man-hours, etc., at the kick-off of each project
- Attend weekly project meetings to review design and project progress
- Establish the project working agenda for each week
- Coordinate with mechanical and electrical engineers and designers on project design
- Review and update CAD Standards as needed to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Participate in company-wide CAD Meetings
- Travel to the field as needed throughout the duration of the project (approximately 5-10% travel)
Requirements
:
- Five to fifteen years of civil/structural concrete design experience
- Experience designing and drafting civil and structural concrete systems in a heavy industrial environment
- Knowledge of industry codes and standards
- Proficient with the latest version of AutoCAD Software
- Proficient with the latest version of Revit 3D Software
- Experience with the latest version of AutoCAD Plant 3D is a PLUS
- Specific experience working for an EPC Company involved in steam and power projects is a PLUS
