Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic IT Asset Manager to oversee the lifecycle management of IT assets across the organization. This role is responsible for tracking, optimizing, and governing hardware, software, and licensing assets to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate combines strong organizational skills with a deep understanding of asset management processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
- Maintain accurate records of all IT assets in a centralized asset management system (CMDB/ITAM tools).
- Track and manage hardware assets (servers, storage, endpoints, networking equipment) across multiple locations.
- Oversee software asset management (SAM) including license tracking, renewals, and compliance audits.
- Ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with procurement and finance teams to optimize asset utilization and reduce costs
. - Develop and enforce IT asset management policies, standards, and procedures
. - Conduct regular audits and inventory reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Provide reporting and insights on asset usage, lifecycle status, and cost optimization opportunities.
- Coordinate with IT teams to support asset provisioning, refresh cycles, and decommissioning
. - Manage vendor relationships related to asset procurement and lifecycle services.
- 3–6+ years of experience in IT asset management, inventory management, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of IT asset lifecycle management practices
. - Experience with ITAM/SAM tools (Service Now, Flexera, Snow Software, or similar).
- Knowledge of software licensing models (Microsoft, VMware, Adobe, etc.).
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience working cross-functionally with IT, procurement, and finance teams.
- Ability to create reports and present insights to stakeholders.
