About the opportunityThe Senior Director of Bridge Building will lead the strategy, implementation, and growth of Repair the World’s bridge building initiatives. The role will expand the Bridge Building Service Corps, launching new cohorts focused on priority communities. Repair has implemented five Bridge Building Service Corps cohorts to date and will implement 24 more over the next five years. In preparation, Repair will codify the core model based on learnings from its programs and bridge building best practices from the field.
This senior role is responsible for embedding best-in-class bridge-building approaches across all of Repair’s service programs including standalone offerings, as well as the Immersive Service Programs like the Bridge Building Service Corps, and equipping staff, partners, and community members to foster authentic connection across lines of difference.
This leader will oversee a dynamic portfolio that includes curriculum development, training and capacity building, evaluation and learning, partnership cultivation, and internal strategy alignment. The ideal candidate is a seasoned educator, coalition-builder, and strategist with deep experience in intergroup relations and dialogue facilitation, grounded in an understanding of Jewish life and values.
As a member of the Field Activation Team, the Senior Director of Bridge Building will report to the Senior Director of Field Activation Strategy. This person will ideally be located in or near the communities where Repair directly operates programs (Atlanta, GA;
Boston, MA;
Chicago, IL;
Boulder, CO; Denver, CO; Detroit, MI; Los Angeles, CA; Miami, FL; New York, NY; or San Francisco, CA is preferred).
- Lead the national strategy to advance bridge building as a core component of Repair’s mission and model.
- Codify Repair’s bridge building approach, drawing on internal insights and external best practices, to develop a scalable, impact-driven model.
- Supervise and support Bridge Building Educators at Repair and consultants working on curriculum and facilitation tools.
- Oversee the development and refinement of curriculum for Bridge Building Service Corps cohorts, leveraging evaluation insights.
- Guide the integration of bridge building into Repair’s broader service programs (Service Corps and standalone), ensuring accessibility and resonance for Jewish and non-Jewish participants alike.
- Collaborate with content and training teams to ensure curricula are inclusive, reflective of partner identities, and informed by local context.
- Further enhance its bridge building approach for programs with organizations like Project Shema, Resetting the Table, and Constructive Dialogue Institute.
- Design and deliver training programs for staff, Service Corps members, partners, and volunteers to strengthen skills in intergroup dialogue and relationship building across lines of difference.
- Partner with leading dialogue and education organizations to integrate advanced tools and frameworks into Repair’s network.
- Lead, develop, and refine metrics that assess the impact of bridge-building programs on participants and communities in collaboration with the MEL team and consultants.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, reflection, and adaptation across all bridge building initiatives, leveraging evaluation insights.
- Cultivate relationships with bridge building organizations to co-create content and co-lead programs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and participate in cross-organizational teams to support wider organizational goals.
