Rewinder Operator​/1st shift

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure product specification requirements are maintained (paper grade, sheet count, perf length, log diameters, core size, etc.) and finished log/roll quality levels are acceptable.
• Ensure proper operational procedures are adhered to concerning rewinder and logsaw operation. Follow established machine operating guidelines.
• Ensure work habits minimize waste generation.
• Inform Lead Hand packer and Team Manager of any significant product quality changes.
• Inform maintenance personnel and Team Manager of any operational deficiencies on equipment.
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are performed regularly.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of production reporting and shift check sheets.
• Possess the ability to troubleshoot/identify minor operational issues and make appropriate machine adjustments.
• Possess the ability to assist/complete rewinder equipment changeovers.
• Possess the ability to operate downstream equipment (logsaw, conveyors, tape machine, etc) and assist with those equipment changeovers as necessary.
• Inform Team Manager of all unsafe work conditions.
• Ensure professional communication with all other team members and employees.
