FTNTT Lecturer of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner Concentrations

Frostburg State University seeks qualified applicants for a full‑time non‑tenure track (FTNTT) Lecturer in our Department of Nursing. This position will serve as faculty member in the new Post‑Masters Nurse Practitioner Certificate programs anticipated to begin Fall 2027. It is a full‑time, 10‑month contractual faculty position with teaching, service, and professional development responsibilities, starting Fall 2026. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications;

The Department of Nursing at FSU offers undergraduate and graduate nursing programs and pathways. This faculty position will primarily teach within the undergraduate on‑campus and online programs.

• Teach 24 credits each academic year in online and hybrid graduate courses.
• Advise graduate students.
• Design and coordinate curriculum in the area of specialty/expertise.
• Devote efforts to scholarly activities and professional development.
• Provide service activities to the department, college, university, community, and/or profession.
• Maintain active practice required to teach graduate‑level clinical courses.
• Participate in monthly on‑campus meetings and laboratory sessions for graduate students.

• Earned graduate degree in family nurse practitioner and/or psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from a regionally accredited university.
• Unrestricted APRN license or eligibility for licensure in Maryland.
• Recent clinical nursing practice or substantial professional development related to clinical nursing practice.
• Evidence of leadership skills and excellent interpersonal communication.

• Doctoral degree in nursing or related field (earned or in progress).
• Dual certification in family and psychiatric nurse practitioner.
