We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Pawtucket, RI.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on maintenance professional who enjoys mechanical troubleshooting, machine repair, and working directly with industrial production equipment.
The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining production and facility equipment, helping ensure machinery operates safely, reliably, and at the required efficiency and throughput.
Key Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on mechanical maintenance and repair of production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical systems and equipment failures
- Diagnose problems and carry out appropriate mechanical repairs
- Work with bearings, mechanical drives, and associated mechanical components
- Read mechanical prints and perform layouts
- Perform machining work using vertical mills, lathes, and surface grinders
- Maintain production equipment to support reliability, efficiency, and throughput
- Ensure shop equipment, machinery, and tools are safe to use
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Support overtime and on‑call requirements when necessary
- 3–5 years of practical experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical maintenance, machine repair, millwright work, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems
- Proven hands‑on mechanical maintenance experience
- Machining experience using vertical mills, lathes, and surface grinders
- Understanding of mechanical drives and bearing systems
- Ability to read prints and understand mechanical layouts
- Basic computer skills
- High school diploma or GED
Candidates coming from industrial manufacturing environments are particularly encouraged to apply. Relevant backgrounds could include plastics, extrusion, rubber, chemicals, packaging, converting, metalworking, machining, or other industrial/process manufacturing environments.
