Position SummaryAssists clients in completing Centralist Waitlist and subsidized housing applications. Assists with administrative duties, such as development of marketing materials, filling, conducting online research, and compiling information. Assists with the coordination of the Housing Stabilization waiting list by calling clients and conducting program eligibility screenings. Carries a small caseload of clients, inputting data into the HMIS system.
Specific Duties /Responsibilities- Provides direct service to individuals and families in an office or community setting.
- Conducts Housing Stabilization Program screenings
- Stays current on housing resources statewide and assists service recipients with permanent housing searches and housing applications
- Enters programmatic data into the HMIS system.
- Assists with outreach and engagement activities with a wide range of housing and community organizations to promote awareness of and access to services
- Completes all professional and administrative documentation and forms in accordance with agency standards and within established guidelines and time frames
- Maintains appropriate standards of confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and agency guidelines
- Attends team meetings, supervision and Hope Division meetings as scheduled
- Participates in professional development opportunities aligned with professional goals and position responsibilities
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Case management experience in child welfare and housing preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Experience providing housing support services within Rhode Island preferred.
- Possession of valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance required.
- Must be agreeable to a flexible schedule to meet recipient needs.
- FSRI values staff with bilingual language capacity and familiarity with the local community they will be serving.
This position requires a mix of visits located in offices, community spaces, and virtually. Interns in this position must have the ability to:
- Travel to and from office sites and community locations which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
- Interns must also have the ability to lift up to 20lbs.
