Truck Driver CDL A Local

Ryder is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver in Pawtucket, RI offering weekly pay, health benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

Compensation: $1,160 – $1,408+ per week (plus hourly rates and stipends). Pay is weekly.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test and background check (including federal level 2, motor vehicle records, and previous employer verification for last 3 years).
• Pass a DOT physical and Ryder road test.
• Provide a valid CDL with required endorsements for Class
  
  A.
• Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
• 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, and policies.
• For this USPS account, a secondary background screen (federal level
  2), selective service registration for eligible males, and other customer‑specific checks may be required.
