School Bus Driver

Overview

Now Hiring Part Time School Bus Drivers – Pawtucket, RI. As a part‑time school bus driver you will serve your community by safely transporting students to and from school and events.

• Pick up students in the morning and drop them off in the afternoon, including field trips and special event transportation.
• Supervise boarding and unloading at stops; assist students with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of brakes, lights, tires and emergency exits.
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Obey all traffic laws and company safety standards.
• Communicate with parents, school staff, and dispatch about student behavior or delays.
• Demonstrate leadership and customer‑service skills.

• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license held for minimum 3 years.
• Looking for a part‑time schedule (no nights, weekends, holidays or summer work).
• Enjoy working with students.
• No experience is required; training will be provided.
• Current or willingness to obtain a Commercial Learner’s Permit (CLP) and Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with company training.
• Pass DOT drug‑testing as a safety‑sensitive employee.

• Hourly Rate: $34.00 per hour (Regular hours).
• Training Rate: $16.00 per hour.
• Guaranteed Minimum

  4.5 hours per day.
