Position OverviewThe Warehouse Associate supports daily loadout of contract installers, shipping and receiving processes, and maintains warehouse cleanliness and inventory structure.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with shipping and receiving, loading & unloading trucks, and scheduling freight carriers to pick up and deliver freight
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
- Fill sales orders, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping or to designated assembly area
- Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program
- Weigh and count items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards
- Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness and cleanliness at all times
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Gather and position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Demonstrate and understand compliance of the company’s safety processes
- Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology
- Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Experience and ability using computer programs preferred
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Valid driver’s license required
- 1‑year experience in a warehouse work environment preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Flooring industry knowledge is a plus
- RFMS Systems experience is a plus
