As a Surgical Medical Assistant, your primary location will be our Payson, AZ clinic
, with initial training required at our Mesa Clinic
. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate is someone who can be assertive and confident. You must possess great decision-making skills, excellent time management, and the ability to effectively communicate with multiple Physicians and colleagues while having the eagerness to learn.

• Surgical Assisting
• Wound care
• Clinic/vitals
• Update and file medical records and insurance reports
• Arrange/schedule outside testing and referrals
• Assist during medical examinations
• Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes, and forms
• Physiological studies
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments – knowledge of sterilization procedures and protocols
• Phone triage

• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Next Gen, Centricity, FIVOS(Medstreaming)/EMR knowledge
• Being bilingual is a HUGE plus

Required:

1 year of Back Office Medical Assistant experience; the company is willing to train on Front Office

Medical Assistance Certification is preferred but not required
