This position is responsible for leading and implementing direct prevention services, as well as public health policy, system, and environmental change strategies related to:
Tobacco Free Environments, Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Maternal and Child Health, and Health in Arizona Policy Initiatives to improve health outcomes for Gila County communities. Position will: lead the development and implementation of evidence-based strategies that promote health programs and services; assess and identify the community health requirements; and assist with developing and implementing community health programs.
- This position occasionally assigns activities to other employees.
- Leads the planning, development, coordination, and implementation of direct health services and comprehensive policy, systems, and environmental strategies to address neighborhood-level changes that have a positive influence on the health of community residents, especially in low-income communities.
- Works collaboratively with multiple sectors and partners to identify common interests and to formulate systemic and collaborative approaches that improve health education and prevention programs, projects, and activities.
- Leads and provides administrative guidance to assigned personnel; ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures; ensures that public health programs are consistent with appropriate public health laws and regulations; and acts as liaison between the funding representatives and Deputy Director.

- Prepares monthly/quarterly/annual reports in accordance with grant reporting requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree or demonstrated public health experiences performing work requiring considerable analytical skill and project follow-up in a public health setting; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Two (2) years directly related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- MMust possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
