Job Description
Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Job Description
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing. The nurse will be expected to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care while monitoring vital signs and assessing patient conditions.
- Implement and manage patient care plans as determined by the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding health status and care interventions.
- Participate in the coordination of care within the healthcare team.
The position requires work from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with a commitment to 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed. Please note that no time off is allowed during the first week of the assignment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 24 months of recent ICU experience within the last 12 months is required.
- Active RN license to practice with no hits on state license.
- Life support certifications from AHA, ARC, or ASHI, including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.
- Driver's license to verify residency is required.
- Travel experience is highly preferred.
