Facilities Maintenance Foreman: Lead Technician & Compliance

Position Summary

Performs routine preventive maintenance, major and minor repairs on facilities equipment, oversees junior associates, manages schedules and contractors, ensures financial sustainability, and ensures compliance with OSHA and EPA guidelines.

• Conduct preventive maintenance per schedules; inspect, clean, and repair equipment and fixtures; document signs of wear; gather capital‑expense information; recommend repair or replacement.
• Perform major/minor repairs; act as job foreman; determine scopes of work; diagnose problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs; use hand, power tools, and other equipment.
• Document repair activities, evaluate technicians’ skill sets, provide onsite training, and ensure quality, safety, and code compliance.
• Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors; complete written and electronic documentation; compare part prices; order parts; track inventory; submit warranty claims.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA regulations, and Walmart quality and safety standards; report deficiencies; unload, store, and transport equipment between facilities.

• Vocational or Technical certification and 5 years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material‑handling equipment, or a related trade; or 7 years of experience in those trades.
• Valid Driver’s License; eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• 1 year’s experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
