Overview
This position ensures safety while using cost‑effective measures. The worker weighs vehicles, moves traffic, assists customers at the landfill, operates trucks, performs cleaning duties, and trains new employees.
Responsibilities- Weigh vehicles, move traffic safely, and give customers directions.
- Maintain records of all charges for billing, collect fees, balance with reports, and make deposits.
- Prepare reports, including waste tire count, recycled paper reports, and end‑of‑month totals.
- Serve as a laborer, operating dump truck, water truck, pull‑magnet, pick up litter, and clean the area around the scalehouse.
- Train new scalehouse employees on landfill procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
This position does not supervise other employees.
