Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse in Payson, Utah. This position involves caring for newborns, including those up to 30 days old, in a Level 2 NICU setting. The role requires providing specialized neonatal care in a small, collaborative unit that supports a growing NICU program.

  Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), STABLE, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
• Education Requirements:
  
  Active license at submission
• Location Requirements:
  Must have 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
• Schedule:
  
  Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  
  Certifications listed above, active license at submission, 2 years hospital experience
• Additional Information:
  • Will work primarily in NICU and mother-baby units, with potential training in mother-baby care
  • Responsible for taking CPAP babies, UVCs, Hi Flow, IVs, and surfactant administration
  • No ventilators on unit; transfer vented babies
  • Experience with chest tubes is a plus but not required
  • No surgeries performed on unit; equipment includes OGs, IVs, Hi Flow, CPAP, Panda warmers, Giraffe warmers
  • NICU is a small unit, caring for approximately 50 NICU babies annually
  • Delivery volume ranges from 30 to 40 babies per month
  • Unit has received recognition, including Womens Services Unit of Distinction for three years
  • Nurse staff often take FMLA leave, creating opportunities for new team members
  • Floating: NICU nurses may work in mother-baby units when NICU babies are not present
