Delivery Driver

Job Description ABOUT THE JOB

• Operate all equipment.
• Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, walk-in cooler.
• Prepare product.
• Receive and process telephone orders.
• Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
• Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
• Deliver product by car and then to door of customer (Driving Specific Job Duties).
• Deliver flyers and door hangers.
• Navigate delivery area using maps and navigational skills; read addresses within designated delivery area; navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings and private homes.

• You must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver s license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
• Access to an insured vehicle which can be used for delivery.
• Must have navigational skills to read a map, locate addresses within designated delivery area, and navigate adverse terrain including multi-story buildings.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions; verbally communicate with customers and co-workers to process orders.
• Essential functions/skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately (calculator may be used); ability to make correct monetary change; verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders; eye–hand coordination for precise movements; ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
• Awareness of work conditions and safety considerations; physical requirements including standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds with occasional heavier loads, reaching, bending, crouching, and climbing as needed for deliveries and front-counter tasks.

• Work conditions include exposure to varying weather, temperature changes, fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and hot surfaces up to 500 degrees or higher.
• Ability to navigate stairs or climb ladders for occasional maintenance or price changes; driving duties may require multiple deliveries per shift.
• Physical tasks include standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, and reaching; driving delivery vehicles; handling tools and equipment as described.

• Training:
  Orientation and on-the-job training provided.
• Stooping/Bending, Reaching, Driving, Hand Tasks, and other physical actions are required as part of daily duties.
• Duration of certain tasks is variable; duties may involve repeated movements throughout the day.
