Bookkeeper

Our full-service law firm in Peabody seeks a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

This is a temporary position set to begin in mid-March 2026 for at least three months.

• Manage journal entries, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately
• Oversee accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare tax-related documents and assist in the preparation of tax returns
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation
• Prepare pre-bills for attorneys
• Execute wire transfers for real estate closings
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support as needed
• Occasionally help cover at the front desk

• Proficiency in Quicken software;
  Experience with Pro Law a plus
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve effectively
