Job Summary

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is a commercially focused leader responsible for transforming how Access manages more than $120M in external spend across categories including construction, temporary labor, freight and logistics, and software/SaaS. This role is centered on building and managing a proactive sourcing pipeline, developing a 12–24‑month sourcing and renewals strategy, leading complex sourcing events and negotiations, and delivering measurable cost savings and business value.

Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Sourcing and Procurement, the Strategic Sourcing Manager will operate as the commercial owner of assigned spend categories and play a key role in advancing the procurement function from a reactive process to a proactive, strategy-driven capability.

Primary Functions
  • Proactively collaborate with category owners and business stakeholders to identify upcoming needs and opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, influencing decisions across Finance, operations, IT, and Legal.
  • Develop and manage a 12-24 month sourcing & renewals calendar.
  • Ensure proactive planning across all major spend categories to eliminate reactive, last‑minute sourcing renewals.
  • Lead RFPs, negotiations, and supplier selection.
  • Own complex negotiations across vendors and create leverage through competition and benchmarking.
  • Improve sourcing workflows and intake processes.
  • Quantify savings, cost avoidance, and value delivered.
  • Build business cases and influence decision‑making.
Qualifications and Education
  • 5+ years in strategic sourcing, consulting, or category management.
  • Proven success leading sourcing events and supplier negotiations.
  • Experience building or managing sourcing pipelines or calendars.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with and influence cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Commercial mindset – thinks like an owner, not a buyer.
  • Experience in logistics, labor, construction, or SaaS preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Standard office environment.
  • Ability to work flexible work hours to meet operational demands.
  • Local, national and/or international business travel may be required.
