Position: Crossing Guard (10 hours a week/school days)

Crossing Guard Position

Crossing Guard needed at:

  • Washington Street and Swampscot Ave: two hours per day (1 AM hour/1 PM hour) 8-9 am and 3:00-4:00 pm five days per week M-F School year 180 days.

$18.25 per hour

District Crossing Guard

Qualifications:

  • Must pass Massachusetts criminal background check
  • Report and recommend safety related issues to the Lead Crossing Guard
  • Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position, but not a requirement
  • Responsibilities:

  • Proficient on current methods and regulations
  • Monitor crosswalk and provides street crossing services for students at assigned crosswalk
  • Report problems to the location specific Principal and Lead Crossing Guard
  • Complies with all local laws and procedures
  • Perform other such duties as deemed necessary by the School District
