Overview
As a Civil Engineering Project Manager for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Boston, MA offices, you will manage client and project relationships, overseeing technical and financial aspects, and spearheading business development across diverse land‑development projects. You will work closely with principals to develop projects from design through permitting, build and lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with internal practices such as survey, geotechnical and environmental, mentor junior staff, and conduct technical reviews of client deliverables.
You will represent CEC at conferences, events, and regulatory meetings.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and manage business development opportunities.
- Work with principals to develop project schedules, assemble project teams, and assign tasks, often coordinating with multiple disciplines (survey, environmental, geotechnical, traffic, etc.).
- Maintain involvement throughout the design process, mentoring junior and mid‑level staff in planning, design, permitting, and execution.
- Conduct technical reviews of client deliverables and ensure compliance with municipal and regulatory requirements.
- Represent CEC at conferences, events, and project meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
Salary range: $90,000 to $145,000, based on experience and education. Additional compensation may be offered through performance bonuses and other incentives.
Qualifications- 7+ years of relevant design and permitting experience, including earth disturbance and stormwater permits, and the municipal approval process.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent;
Master’s degree preferred. - Professional Engineer licensure (P.E.) preferred.
- Experience in civil design and permitting for layout, grading, stormwater, erosion, and sediment control.
- Proven ability to develop business opportunities and contribute to new projects.
- Ability to manage multi‑discipline projects.
- Ability and desire to mentor junior staff.
- Preference for candidates able to work in Raynham, MA or Peabody, MA office locations.
