Project Consultant – Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC)

Job Description

As a Project Consultant, you will work with project teams to create permitting and construction plans, municipal zoning and land development applications for private and public sector clients. You will design site layouts and grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, storm water management facilities, and site utilities. You will collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers to execute projects, interacting with clients, contractors, and local government officials throughout the project lifecycle—from conceptual and design phases, through regulatory review and bidding, through construction and grand opening.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare permitting and construction plans; municipal zoning and land development applications.
  • Design site layouts, grading, erosion and sedimentation controls, stormwater management facilities, and site utilities.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to execute projects and maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Engage with clients, contractors, and local officials throughout all project phases.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional engineering experience.
  • EIT (Engineer in Training) certification preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Hydro

    CAD, or Storm Sewers.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem‑solving skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work collaboratively in a team setting.
