Civil Engineering Principal Job Location s

OverviewAs a Civil Engineering Principal for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC), you will collaborate with senior management and executive teams to grow and develop the Civil/Site Practice in our Boston, MA offices. By building and strengthening relationships with prospective and existing clients, you will guide the practice’s growth on both local and regional levels. You will assist external stakeholders in navigating the regulatory environment and ensure the technical excellence of projects.
You will lead a team of engineers and project managers through multi‑faceted civil‑engineering projects and business development initiatives. In this role you will review proposals and project budgets, manage and mentor a team of engineers and project managers, perform final quality control and assurance, and support recruiting and professional development of staff, including annual performance reviews and development goal setting.
Applicants will have the option to work in either our Raynham, MA or Peabody, MA office locations.

Compensation RangeThe pay range for this position is between $160,000 and $200,000.
Qualifications- 15+ years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Professional Engineer license (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure
- Technical design expertise in site layout and test fits, grading, stormwater management, erosion & sedimentation control, and site utility design
- Established client base preferred
- Established relationships with industry professionals and regulators
- Experience in managing and developing a consulting engineering team
- Experience with private‑sector projects such as commercial land development, renewable energy/power generation, industrial manufacturing development, natural gas, and public‑sector projects for local and state agencies
- Leadership roles within professional industry groups
- In‑depth understanding of local and state land development regulations and processes, including zoning, stormwater management, and erosion & sedimentation control
- Portfolio or list of past projects outlining key design elements and your role in the projects
- Proven ability to build relationships, provide effective mentoring, and build team morale
