Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
DMS Design, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in managing multifamily housing projects. This position requires managing projects from design development to construction administration. You’ll work closely with leadership and the production team, while managing client relationships and collaboration with contractors, engineers, and consultants. You will work in a small team environment that has strong infrastructure, processes, and corporate values.>
Applicants should have extensive professional experience and boast a diverse portfolio that includes large-scale multifamily and mixed-use developments in market-rate, affordable, senior, and mixed-income projects. Housing projects should include ground-up construction,LEED certified, and mod-rehabs.
To successfully perform as Project Manager at DMS, the individual must have a proven ability to lead the design and execution of complex projects from design development through construction. This includes leading production staff, communicating directly with firm principals and project team members, and managing client relationships, consultants, and vendors. The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment is a necessity.
The Project Manager is responsible for managing and organizing the day-to-day responsibilities of moving multiple projects forward while meeting client expectations, meeting deadlines, and managing budgets.
Expectations also include possessing exceptional attention to detail, the ability to effectively resolve design challenges, and a high motivation to succeed professionally.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in architecture
- Registered Architect in Massachusetts is preferred but not required
- 7-10 years of project management experience
- 5-10 years of multifamily residential experience
- Demonstrated ability to successfully transition a project through all phases from design development through construction administration
- Experience managing a project team
- Ability to successfully maintain exceptional client relationships, including proactive outreach and ability to meet deadlines and budgets
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects
- Strong experience drafting and working in Revit
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong presentation skills with ability to facilitate team and client meetings
- Enthusiastic team player and eager collaborator
- Willingness to actively pursue new project opportunities
