Position: Nurse Practitioner (MNA)/Physician Assistant - IM - Atrius Health - Peabody

Nurse Practitioner – Ambulatory Care

The Nurse Practitioner will work under the general direction of the Chief of Medicine, delivering professional medical services to a panel of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The role emphasizes patient‑centered care, continuity, teamwork, and leadership within the primary care team.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Comprehensive, longitudinal clinical and administrative coordination of all care for a specific panel of patients.
  • Perform all activities related to examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in a primary care setting, including physical assessment and treatment; supervise care plans, consultations, referrals, and communications with specialists.
  • Oversee monitoring and management of patients with acute and chronic illnesses; serve as subject matter author and supervisor for care plans; adjust treatment regimens based on patient response.
  • Partner with patients and families to manage care plans.
  • Provide consultation regarding hospitalized patients in the panel.
  • Provide direction and support to staff to assure departmental effectiveness and efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program (Masters level preferred).
  • Licensed in Nursing by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts board of registration.
  • National Board Certification.
  • Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations.
  • Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post‑hire, per state regulations.
  • Maintains BLS certification and professional certification as appropriate.
Preferred Qualification
  • 2+ years of APC experience.
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $ to $. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role.
