Job Summary

At our Peabody, MA MRO facility, you will serve as Site Quality Manager, responsible for Quality Assurance (QA) & Regulatory Compliance (RC). The role manages QA objectives, leads the quality team, and ensures compliance with domestic and foreign regulatory agencies and internal standards.

What You Will Do
  • Manage the execution of the Quality Assurance function, including strategy of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Process owner for Corrective Action, Escape Management and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
  • Manage assigned Quality personnel to track, trend, and analyze data for initiatives that reduce Escapes and COPQ.
  • Collaborate with the quality team and peers in other functional groups to drive reductions via root cause analysis, problem solving, and corrective actions.
  • Manage Corrective Action Boards, Metrics & Management Review processes.
  • Manage Data, Document Control & Management processes (including technical data) to ensure compliance with necessary standards.
  • Assist in developing and simplifying standard work for areas related to quality.
  • Manage the FAA Approved training program, personnel certifications, and FAA personnel rosters.
  • Manage activities associated with supplier quality, warranty process, part purges, calibration and MRB activities.
  • Support the drug and alcohol program.
  • Facilitate the collection of data to identify adverse trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform product, process, and quality audits.
  • Review quality data to ensure all products and processes are aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Leverage continuous improvement processes and tools (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to improve process performance.
  • Host customer, NADCAP, and QMS audits.
  • Manage domestic (FAA), foreign regulatory, QMS and NADCAP site certifications.
  • Serve as the principal FAA and other foreign aviation regulatory agency liaison for maintenance operation regulatory matters.
  • Oversee the internal audit program and ensure compliance with internal and external accreditation agencies (AS9100, etc.).
  • Partner with Engineering/Operations to ensure product safety and quality through hardware release and records management.
  • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop skills.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Prior Quality experience in aerospace or other highly regulated manufacturing industry.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience managing quality teams.
  • Previous experience with 14 CFR Part 145 as it pertains to repair station quality requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and internal auditing.
  • Experience serving as a primary liaison with regulatory agencies, including the Federal Aviation Administration and foreign aviation authorities.
