Position OverviewThis is a field‑based Outside Sales Account Executive position in the Peabody, MA / North Shore area. The Executive will conduct exploratory conversations with small businesses, identify payroll needs, and demonstrate how Connect Pay’s value proposition addresses those needs.
Responsibilities- Manage all aspects of the sales cycle: pipeline building, target opportunity identification, qualifying leads, meeting prospective clients, negotiating, and closing business.
- Build rapport, maintain detail orientation, stay motivated by success.
- Develop a referral or reciprocity program with local community influencers and business leaders.
- Report sales activity metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Collect documentation for successful conversion of payroll data from previous provider to Connect Pay platform.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, marketing, or a related field (plus).
- 3+ years of outside B2B sales experience in a competitive, quota‑driven environment.
- Experience hunting/prospecting in an outside sales role.
- Track record of nurturing, managing, and developing a defined sales territory.
- Strong, polished professional communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and internet/social media platforms.
- Demonstrated high achievement record.
- Experience selling payroll services.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
Base salary range: $55,000 – $76,000. On‑target earnings for commission‑based roles: $100,000 – $125,000 (base + commission). Commission structure will be detailed during interview.
