Truck Driver CDL A Transfer Driver

Position Description

Immediately Hiring and Seating a Shuttle Transfer Driver and we want the right Trucker to join us at Ryder in Peabody, MA.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hourly Pay: $24.00 per hour
• Overtime Pay: $36.00 per hour for hours over 40 per week
• Hours per week: 40+ hours
• Paid Training
• Home Time:
  Local – Home Daily
• Shift: Monday – Friday (no weekends)
• Hours:
  
  7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a commercial vehicle and requires compliance with safety & DOT regulations, continuous training and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records and logs; other tasks as assigned.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test.
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
• Pass a DOT physical.
• Pass a Ryder road test.
• Provide an appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position.
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months of experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures.

• Medical, dental & vision after 30 days.
• 80 hours PTO in the first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it).
• Uniforms & boot allowance provided.
