About the RoleSELF Electronics is seeking an experienced Accounting & Administration Specialist to support the financial and administrative operations of our North American business.
This position is responsible for bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reimbursement management, financial record-keeping, and general office administration. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining accurate records, coordinating routine accounting activities, and supporting efficient office operations.
Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records.
- Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable.
- Manage accounts receivable.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Review, process, and track employee expense reimbursements.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial transactions.
- Organize and maintain invoices, receipts, statements, and accounting records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management and external accountants.
- Maintain accurate customer, vendor, and employee records.
- Assist with payroll-related documentation and employee expense records as needed.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to emails, and handle general business correspondence.
- Support document preparation, data entry, filing, scheduling, and office organization.
- Order and maintain office supplies.
- Assist management with reports, special projects, and other administrative responsibilities.
- Handle confidential financial, customer, and employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, office administration, or a related position.
- Practical experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Experience using accounting software; SAP experience is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues.
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable handling confidential information.
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with an international organization, manufacturing company, or project-based business is an advantage.
