Job Description Primary Function of Position

The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.

Under general supervision, follows oral and/or written instructions in performance of a wide variety of skilled technical maintenance, repair, and testing on complex digital and analog electronic components, electrical and electro‑mechanical components, cable assemblies, sub‑assemblies, assemblies, field replaceable units (FRU) and systems to support a wide variety of Robotic Systems. Regular use of diagnostic software for localizing equipment and system problems, specialized testing equipment, analyzers, digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, clocks, timers, calipers, voltmeters, power supplies, rulers, and other test equipment as required.

Job Duties
  • Analyzes wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly drawings, fab drawings, mechanical component drawings to conduct repair and testing of FRUs
  • Performs repair of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies per applicable work Instructions; performs testing of complex electro‑mechanical assemblies per applicable work Instructions
  • Aids with failure analysis and final test of assemblies and properly documents findings.
  • Participates in investigational teams for FRU's to provide input if required.
  • Communicates status of repairs with leads/supervisors and other departments as necessary.
  • Provides detailed symptom descriptions for failures uncovered during repair, functional test and calibration to assist in component‑level troubleshooting.
  • Conducts quality inspection of own or others’ work to ensure workmanship standards are met.
  • Adheres to GDP guidelines when completing all documentation; initiates material requests.
  • Reports quality issues and provides details necessary to create quality notification (VR, PL) records; transacts in SAP as needed to preserve traceability.
  • Follows all corporate, safety, SOP, DOP procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workstation.
  • Communicates process flow recommendations to Leads/Supervisor/Manager or designee.
  • Maintains an excellent attendance record.
Qualifications Required Skills and Experience
  • Education and/or

    Experience:

    Minimum High school diploma and AA or equivalent; minimum of AA or college degree preferred; 1-2 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language

    Skills:

    Ability to read, write and understand English; read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos; write correspondence; effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to other employees, supervisors, or engineers.
  • Mathematical

    Skills:

    Ability to do basic math.
  • Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to apply logical understanding to carry out instructions; deal with situations with several variables; report actual or potential quality issues; suggest and implement process improvements.
