Overview

Position Title:

Pricing Analyst, Electrical Products. The Electrical Products (EP) Business Unit, located in Peachtree Corners, GA is growing and seeks a highly qualified Pricing Analyst for the MAP (Mixed Apparatus Pricing) Team. This position reports to the MAP Manager and is located in the Peachtree Corners, GA office.

The Pricing Analyst plays a significant role in business generation of Switchboards, Panel boards, Busway, Unit Substations, and other products by providing competitive and profitable pricing for large project opportunities. The analyst works closely with Siemens Sales, Business Developers, Product Management, Project Management, and third-party Suppliers to execute pricing strategies for projects of varying complexity.

• Manage all quote requests for Unit Substations and Pad Mount Transformers from start to finish, including obtaining requests from the vendor, adding margin, sending revised quotes to Sales, and confirming comments, exceptions and schedules.
• Contact third-party suppliers for costs and assign sell prices on buyout products such as substation transformers.
• Perform technical review of sales documents to ensure alignment of technical information and customer requirements.
• Maintain a log to track buyout transformer volume, pricing, and types by supplier (using Excel).
• As quotes become orders, coordinate with the plant to provide the Transformer Evaluation Form and other key details needed to proceed with the order to the supplier.
• Coordinate with Procurement to help identify high-value projects that may need special attention by the Procurement team.
• Back-up the team by handling Dry Type Distribution Transformer requests when needed.
• Support as a Quotation Analyst by evaluating and approving jobs in the queue when requested by management (based on quote volume).
• Maintain a high standard of accuracy and responsiveness in turning around these requests to offers and orders.
• Comply with and enforce Siemens’ policies and procedures.

Basic Qualifications:

• BS degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration and/or business finance.
• 1+ year of pricing experience in the electrical distribution industry/manufacturing.
• Must be eligible to work in the US with no sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience reading quotations and proposals.
• Familiarity with electrical distribution equipment, especially transformers.
• Strong system skills, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint and COMPAS GO. Above-average math comprehension is needed due to the financial nature of the role.
• Customer service attitude with internal customers using strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication skills. Experience in a team setting with shared goals and successful results.

The pay range for this position is $66,973 - $114,811 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
