Job Description Position Summary The Repair Supervisor leads day-to-day operations of the Southern Cross repair and calibration facility in Peachtree Corners, GA. This role is responsible for managing technicians and shipping/receiving staff, ensuring timely and accurate processing of repair, calibration, warranty work orders, and maintaining inventory for both repair consumables and instrument/parts sales. The Repair Supervisor serves as the operational point of contact for the Products LOB and reports directly to the VP of Products.

Key Responsibilities Team Management Directly supervise repair technicians and shipping/receiving personnel

Assign and prioritize work orders to maintain throughput and meet turnaround targets

Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and identify training needs

Coordinate staffing coverage and cross-training to support operational continuity

Operations and Workflow Oversee the end-to-end repair workflow: RMA intake, evaluation and triage, repair and calibration, QC, and outbound shipping

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with current SOPs for instrument repair and calibration

Monitor work order status and intervene to resolve bottlenecks or quality issues

Ensure calibration certificates and repair documentation are completed accurately and on time Coordinate warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer agreements

NetSuite Transactions Monitor open repair and warranty work orders in Net Suite and ensure accurate, timely transaction processing

Assist technicians with Net Suite data entry and error resolution

Review and validate labor, parts, and service entries against physical work performed

Support month-end close by ensuring all completed work orders are fully processed and invoiced

Inventory Management Maintain adequate stock levels of repair parts, calibration gas, consumables, and instrument sales inventory

Conduct periodic cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory to Net Suite records

Identify reorder needs and coordinate purchasing with appropriate internal contacts

Minimize obsolete or excess inventory through proactive monitoring

Reporting and Leadership Communication Prepare and deliver regular operational reports to the VP of Products covering throughput, turnaround time, warranty claim volume, inventory status, and technician productivity

Track and report key metrics: units received, units completed, units pending, BER rate, and warranty vs. non-warranty mixFlag capacity constraints, equipment needs, or process gaps as they arise

Support operational reporting tied to Teledyne GMI warranty invoicing requirements (monthly submission within 5 days of month-end)
Qualifications

Required3+ years of experience in a repair, service, or manufacturing environment

Prior supervisory or lead technician experience

Demonstrated ability to read and follow technical SOPs and work instructions

Experience with an ERP or work order management system (Net Suite preferred)
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a shop-floor environment

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

Experience with gas detection instruments or other field measurement equipment

Familiarity with calibration documentation and NIST traceability requirements

Background in shipping/receiving operations, including carrier management and packaging standards

Experience preparing operational reports for management review

Working Conditions Primarily shop/lab environment; occasional exposure to calibration gases in a ventilated space

May require occasional lifting up to 40 lbs Standard Monday through Friday schedule; additional hours may be required during high-volume periods or month-end close

This is an ONSITE position; NON Remote!!
