Transmission Line Engineer

• Apply knowledge of transmission line design materials to generate framing drawings, load and dimension drawings, and bills of materials.
• Design transmission line projects employing industry‑recognized software packages such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, FAD Tools, and PLS CADD.
• Create drawings and specifications for transmission line construction.
• Perform electrical calculations for transmission line system design and studies (Insulation Coordination, OPGW Analysis, Line Ground System Analysis, Line Loss Studies, etc.).
• Coordinate with internal project managers and disciplines to ensure project success.
• Prepare engineering deliverables, including contract documents and studies.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements.
• Assist with equipment specifications, bid evaluations, and procurement.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Travel to client sites and industry conferences as needed.

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or on the path to obtaining a PE.
• 5+ years of experience in transmission line design.
• Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and design software.
