Application Engineer – Circuit Protection & Controls

Peachtree Corners, GA / Grand Prairie, TX (Remote)

• Plan, create, and execute technical applications and related documentation for the CP&C segment AMPLIFY program.
• Develop technical solutions, value proposition, and marketing messaging; create and deploy digital content, trade‑show and event materials.
• Coordinate cross‑functional activities with Business Segment Heads, marketing, sales, business development, product management, product development engineering and application engineering.
• Act as key technical resource for AMPLIFY Program within EP CP&C, reporting to the Head of Application Engineering.
• Collaborate with sales and sales engineers to prioritize and execute technical application development for Siemens design panel boards and switchboards.
• Maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships; address technical challenges and resolve customer issues.
• Provide technical support and consulting services to customers, leveraging NEC, ANSI, UL and manufacturing techniques.
• Demonstrate expertise in low‑voltage circuit protection and assist AMPLIFY Program Manager in special projects.
• Lead cross‑business special project teams and contribute to account business planning.
• Develop and nurture strong customer relationships; provide support and training as needed.
• Collaborate with end‑users on technical applications, training, documentation, trade‑show content and digital asset creation.

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or material engineering.
• 3+ years of electrical distribution equipment design and manufacturing experience.
• Experience designing, building, and testing panel boards, switchboards, and switch gear; familiarity with manufacturing machinery and processes.
• Strong technical aptitude and ability to develop and present technical strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (~30%).
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

• Relationship‑building and commercial aptitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage diverse product management activities.
• Knowledge of power circuit breakers, MCCB, and manufacturing operations of distribution gear.
• Understanding of system‑level applications of circuit breakers.
• Knowledge of UL 67, UL 891, UL 1558, UL 508, UL 489 and relevant codes.
• Experience using CAD.
• Advanced degree in engineering or engineering management.
• Positive learning attitude and perseverance.
• Cross‑functional experience and networking skills.

Siemens offers a range of health and wellness benefits. Pay range: $102,459–$175,644.
